Footnote Reference Marks

Footnote reference marks are signs used to guide the reader from the text to a note. They are used in the following order:

	asterisk (except in maths)
	dagger
	double dagger
	section mark
	parallel bars
	paragraph mark
	and then repeated doubled, eg:
