A Frames/JavaScript tool to quickly select colours for background and ink combinations. A real time-saver if you are setting up a web page. Not restricted to web-safe colours, you can also choose palettes of every hex 20 or every hex 16 on the right.
Top left is the control panel. Any typing requires the "Update" button,
just above the samples, to be clicked before the samples will update. Otherwise
the update is instantaneous.
In the top box, type whatever text you wish to display in the samples. Below
this, use the drop-down menus to choose between Serif (like
Times) and Sans-Serif (like
Arial), the desired pointsize, and the variation. There are 4 sets of
background/ink combinations which control the 4 samples underneath. Select the
radio button to the left of whichever background or ink you wish to target.
Click a colour on the right to update the colour value and see the effect in
the sample.
You may also edit the colour values, but will need to click the "Update"
button to see the effect.

Oddballs like twips, angstoms etc have not been added, but if you really really want a particular unit, put in a request.
